Guidance 1400 Series Controllers Can a 4-axis motion controller with drives fit in your pocket? Now its possible. The Guidance 1400 Series Controllers combine coordinated, multi-axis motion control, integrated servo motor drives, network communications, machine vision and more in an extremely compact design. This controller is designed to significantly lower costs for lower power applications. Whether used by itself or included as a node in a large multi-axis network, the Guidance 1400 delivers Precise's advanced motion capabilities and integrated vision in a smaller package and at a lower price than ever before. Key features include:

  • Extremely small design and low price
  • Up to four integrated drives, 2.7A RMS, 4A peak. Bus voltage & total power for all drives: 24VDC to 48VDC output, 500W total.
  • Communication interfaces include Ethernet ports, RS-232 ports, DIO and more.
  • Includes the same powerful multi-axis motion control as all of the Guidance line of vision guided motion controllers.

Guidance DispenseGuidance Dispense is a set of hardware and software components that can be utilized to implement a complete automated dispensing system. When these components are integrated with a PrecisePlace or other robot, they can automatically dispense adhesives, sealants and other fluids along both simple and arbitrarily complex paths. Key features include:

  • A graphical user interface that permits 3D straight and curved dispensing paths to be taught and executed without the need for programming.
  • Dispense hardware components that are designed for easy mounting on the PrecisePlace robot's Z-axis and for simple integration to the robot's electronics.
  • An integrated machine vision option that can automatically correct dispensing paths for deviations in part position and orientation.

Guidance System
The Guidance System is a complete 4-axis vision-guided motion control system in a compact enclosure. For customers who desire a simple alternative to mounting and wiring a motion controller and its associated components, the Guidance System provides all of the capabilities of Precise Automation's motion controllers ready to use out of the box. Key features include:

  • This system features the extremely powerful Guidance Motion Controller connected to motor and logic power supplies, fans and filters for cooling and easy-to-use standard connectors
  • The enclosure is compact to permit mounting on a linear axis, under a workstation or other locations where space is a premium
  • The system's small size allows it to be attached very close to the mechanism, thus eliminating extra control cabinets and reducing cable lengths
  • An integrated motor power supply generates 320 VDC and can power a wide range of brushless motors that are equipped with incremental, absolute or analog encoders

Remote IO (RIO) ModulE
Expand your controller capabilities even further with Precise Automation's new line of Remote IO Modules. Add additional optically isolated digital input and output signals, analog inputs and serial ports to any of our line of Guidance Controllers. Key features include:

RIO

  • Module can be placed anywhere within the controller's local Ethernet network
  • Supports MODBUS/TCP
  • Simple configuration and use - digital inputs and outputs accessed in the same manner as local I/O from any Guidance Controller
  • Enhanced version can be expanded further with two digital I/O Expansion Boards for a total of 96 isolated digital inputs and 96 digital outputs
  • 4 RIO modules can be connected to a single controller

Guidance 2400 Series Controllers The Guidance 2400 Controller is an extension of the Guidance Controller family.  It offers the same outstanding communications interfaces, motion control capabilities, programming facilities, and machine vision interface as the Guidance 3xxx Controllers at an even lower price.  The key features of the controller are as follow:

G2400
  • Even lower price than the Guidance 3xxx series of controllers
  • Limited to motor bus voltages of 24V to 90V as compared to the Guidance 3xxx controllers that can operate from 24V to 320V
  • Contains up to four motor drives, eight encoder input channels, a 700 MIPS processor, digital and analog inputs and outputs, Ethernet and RS-232 interfaces
  • Outputs up to 2,000 watts of total motor power in an extremely small package 225 mm long by 138 mm wide by 61 mm high
  • User Interface is based on a web server that resides in the Guidance 2400, allowing the controller to be accessed from anywhere in the world for easy development, operation and maintenance
  • Software includes: complete set of motion commands, machine kinematics, a continuous path motion planner and trajectory generator, a powerful language with motion commands added to the Basic syntax, an interface to Microsoft software and an optional machine vision package that can execute in a networked PC
